True Beauty: It’s What’s On The Inside That Counts

Your Beauty Shouldn’t Come From Outward Appearances But From Your Faith In God

On Friday, we talked about how your beauty shouldn’t come from outward appearances.

Read it here:

Your Beauty Shouldn’t Be Found In Outward Appearances

Today we will discuss where your beauty should come from.

When people talk about beauty they say, “it’s what’s on the inside that counts”.

Now there is truth in that statement, but it doesn’t paint the whole picture.

In 1 Peter 3:4, Peter wrote that beauty should come from,

“That of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quite spirit.”

But what does that mean?

Have a gentle and quite spirit means to:

– Live a life of submission to God

– To Not be easily provoked by anger

– To patiently and lovingly deal with trials

– Be polite and courteous to all

– Live a life green from greed and envy

– Live In humility

– Profess your love for God

These are all qualities of a beautiful Christian woman.

Qualities worth more than gold and silver to God.

God doesn’t care about your latest hairstyle, your jewelry or any other outside appearances and either will your future husband.

As both God is and your future husband will be more gracious for your beautiful spirit and soul.

Sure, looking beautiful on the outside will help attract your future husband, but your soul is what will captivate him as you both walk a life glorifying God.
